Privacy Statement

Duocast handles privacy-sensitive data, including personal data, with care. We follow four key pillars:

  • Personal data is well protected
  • Personal data is not used for purposes other than stated
  • Personal data is not kept longer than necessary
  • Personal data is not shared with third parties unless necessary

Data we process

For administration and invoicing we process the following data for administrative purposes and billing:

  • Name and address details, including business data such as trade name, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, VAT number, customer number, etc. These details are legally required for invoicing.
  • Email address to inform you about changes and to send invoices.
  • Telephone number for communication when email is not possible or not desirable.
  • Payment details such as bank accounts and PayPal accounts, as well as payer names and payment descriptions.
  • For processing online payments we use third parties such as Mollie, iDEAL, and PayPal.

For account protection We process the following data to protect accounts:

  • Login details (username and password) to protect accounts and data against unauthorised use.
  • IP address for additional protection and logging. For example, a login session can be linked to an IP address and IP addresses are recorded for periodic checks (audits).

Other data (legitimate interest)

We also process the following data on the basis of a legitimate interest:

  • Cookies: Our websites may use cookies to gain insight into visitor behaviour on our site.
  • Log files: When visiting websites on our infrastructure, IP addresses, browser data, and date/time are stored. These data may be necessary for investigation and reporting.

Purposes of processing

The personal data we collect are used for:

  • Access to control panels, administrative interfaces, ticketing systems, etc.
  • Remembering items such as shopping carts and login sessions.
  • Performance of our mutual agreement.
  • Handling support requests.
  • Securing services.

Third parties

We share some data with third parties for the following purposes:

For certain payment systems, your payment data (such as invoice number, amount, and bank information) are shared with third parties (e.g. PayPal, Mollie, iDEAL platforms).

For our bookkeeping, certain data including name, VAT number, company name, invoice number, and amount are shared with our bookkeeper and accountant.

By order of law enforcement, we may be required to share data with the police.

Address data, email address, and telephone number for requests such as domain registrations and/or Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificates.

To improve our website, cookies are placed by analytics providers such as Google Analytics. These parties also have access to your IP address and browser data when you visit our website(s).

If you, as a customer, visit one of our data centres, you must register and identify yourself. We store your name, telephone number, email address, company name, and the document number of one or more identification documents. This data is shared with the relevant data centres.

Cookies Our website(s) use cookies.

A cookie is a file stored by your browser on your computer. Cookies help websites function better and be more user-friendly. Cookies are necessary, among other things, to maintain a login session, to create a shopping cart, and to place an order.
